So, OK, you’ve seen me struggle with the Biblical Womanhood. You know that my friends thought it a spectator sport watching me deal with extreme pentecostal worship. And that I am politically left leaning and entirely liberal. So what would you have me read? What would challenge my view of religion or faith, or life, from a book you know for sure I’d never choose to pick up and read? I think this would be an interesting Lent challenge…
I think it would be appropriate to use the lent period to refocus spiritually. So maybe you could try reading a Christian book which would help you do that, give you a different perspective.
The only thing I can think of at the moment is ‘Knowing God’ by J.I. Packer, it’s currently sitting (unread) on my bookshelf – as classics tend to – but I’ve heard lots of good things about it. Actually, I might just make it my lenten reading 🙂
I’ll add it to the list of possibles, thanks!
